Soft Baits come in many shapes and designs, and each category performs best in slightly different situations. • Shads & Swimbaits: Shads and swimbaits imitate a naturally swimming baitfish—the primary prey of most predators. Thanks to their active tail, they work on both slow and fast retrieves and at all depths. If you’re choosing one universal category, start here.
• Craws & Creatures: Craw and creature baits imitate crustaceans and other bottom forage. They excel on Texas, Carolina, or Free rigs and when fishing in cover. Ideal when fish are holding near the bottom or ignoring classic baitfish profiles.
