Lure Fishing Hooks

Lure fishing hooks form the most important link between the angler and the catch. This guide will quickly direct you to specialized shapes and designs intended for fishing with soft plastics, wobblers, and spoons.

The decisive factor for your choice is the lure type and bottom structure. While in heavy cover you need shapes capable of hiding the hook point, in open water, success is determined by a fast and clean penetration on the hookset.

Hooks for soft plastics

  • Offset hooks – the foundation for safe fishing in rocks, timber, and deep weed beds. The hook point remains hidden in the body of the lure, eliminating frequent snags.
  • Straight hooks – an ideal choice for cheburashka rigs or as additional trailer hooks for wire baits. They ensure lightning-fast penetration into the fish's mouth wherever you don't need to hide the point from snags.
  • Worm hooks – light and sensitive masubari-style models for finesse rigs like drop shot, wacky, or neko rig. They do not interfere with the natural action of small lures.

Hooks for hard baits and stinger systems

  • Single hooks for hard baits – an effective replacement for treble hooks on wobblers and spoons, making unhooking the catch easier and reducing snags.
