Soft Baits – Craws & Creatures

Craw and creature baits are specialized soft plastics designed primarily for bottom fishing and heavy cover. They imitate crawfish, crustaceans, or general “live prey” that predators naturally pick up around rocks, wood, and vegetation. Unlike classic shads, they do not excel at covering water quickly, but rather at their ability to trigger strikes during pauses, subtle drags, and slow falls.

They typically excel on Texas, Carolina, and Free rigs, with a cheburashka weight, or as a trailer for skirted jigs. Thanks to their detailed bodies, claws, and multiple moving appendages, they remain “alive” even with minimal movement. They are the ideal choice when fish are holding tight to the bottom, staying in cover, or reacting very cautiously.
