Sunline Tornade V HARD is a premium fluorocarbon and the absolute technological pinnacle in our fluorocarbon range. Its construction relies on the Plasma Rise manufacturing process, which creates a hard, glassy polymer layer on the surface of the line. This treatment gives the material extreme abrasion resistance – the line physically deflects contact with obstacles before its structure can be compromised. Despite its high surface hardness, the line fully retains its suppleness. To maximize the protection of its precise profile, the fluorocarbon is spooled using the tension-free Non Stress Spooling system.
On the water, it performs as an exceptionally reliable leader for demanding conditions and snags. The modified surface drastically increases residual strength after scratching against rocks, rough roots, or contact with predator teeth. The retained softness of the material facilitates the tightening of strong knots, which subsequently do not slip or deform under the pressure of a hooked fish. A significant advantage of this targeted flexibility is that even thicker leader diameters do not disrupt the action of the lure, fundamentally aiding in the precise presentation of hard baits and finesse soft plastics to wary fish.
