Soft Baits - Shrimp, Crabs & Bugs

Shrimp, crab, and insect imitations offer a different type of trigger compared to classic baitfish-style lures. They do not imitate fleeing prey, but rather natural food sources that predators pick up near the bottom or in the water column – small crustaceans, insects, and other invertebrates. For this reason, they are exceptionally effective when fish ignore standard shad silhouettes and respond only to subtle movement, micro-vibrations, and a natural fall.

These lures excel on slow retrieves, free fall presentations, and when worked with pauses. They are most commonly used on a Drop Shot, Texas, Free, or Neko rig, but also perform very well weightless. They are ideal for technical fishing for perch, chub, and other cautious predators, especially in heavily pressured waters.
