Saltwater jigs belong among the most versatile metal lures for targeting saltwater predators from both shore and boat. They allow precise coverage of the water column, bottom, and structure edges, and can be used with a wide range of techniques – from simple steady retrieves to technical jigging styles. Thanks to different shapes, weights, and underwater actions, anglers can choose the exact lure to match depth, current strength, and target species.

This category includes several specialized types of saltwater jigs, each designed for a specific purpose. What they all share is high effectiveness, clear and readable action, and the ability to trigger strikes even in demanding conditions.

Types of saltwater jigs

• Small saltwater jigs – compact and versatile jigs designed primarily for shore fishing and light jigging from a boat. They offer excellent casting performance, controllable underwater behavior, and are suitable for both active jigging and slower bottom presentations. Lighter models also work exceptionally well in freshwater, for example when targeting asp or perch in the water column.
• Saltwater jigs with spinner blade – blade jigs combining a metal body with a rotating blade that produces strong vibrations and flashes. They are very easy to work and ideal for quickly searching for fish in the water column or near the bottom, even in murky water or greater depths.

• EGI jigs – specialized lures developed for targeted squid and cuttlefish fishing. They are designed with an emphasis on fast depth reach, stability, and precise control during darting techniques followed by pauses, when the lure remains in the strike zone.
