What are the basic prerequisites for a good popper? They are: high weight, good aerodynamics and above all a well-shaped front part, which creates that magical "pop" sound. At first glance, it may seem that making a good popper is not difficult, but the opposite is true. There are surprisingly many non-functional poppers on the market. As always, DUO goes its own way. While other companies focus only on the appearance of the lures, DUO focuses on the entire design, including the internal construction. It sometimes happens to everyone that the wobbler hits rocks, stones or pillars after the cast. This can damage the wobbler. Popper DUO is designed to withstand these accidents. The increased thickness of the walls and internal partitions of the wobbler ensures the resistance of the body and thus its durability.
Experience the difference
The poppers are basically simple, but the DUO decided to focus on the position of the popper on the water surface. Many poppers lie shallow on the surface or take a position at an angle of 30 to 40 degrees to the surface, which enlarges the surface of the bait and its hooks are in an unsuitable position. DUO Realis Popper 64 occupies an almost vertical position on the surface, which creates a much more effective silhouette and thus eliminates wasted shots. During the attraction, most of his body is submerged, which exposes the bait to fish more - for the first time ever, the color on the sides of the bait also plays an important role, not just the color on the belly of the bait. DUO Realis Popper 64 tapers aggressively at the end and has a sharp bottom edge that flattens. This design helps with the "walk the dog" guidance style. The area around the treble hook is cut out, which gives more freedom to the rear treble hook and increases the success of the strike.
How to use DUO Realis Popper 64:
Classic "pop" style
There are basically two ways to work with a popper. The first is a series of short twitches with a pause. We recommend a break of 1-3 seconds. The second option is a series of longer twitches in the length of about 30-40 cm in combination with monotonic reeling and occasional pauses.
Style „walk the dog"
This style consists of moving the popper from side to side. You can achieve this by plucking the tip of the rod in a length of about 15-25 cm. In this case, it is technically important to maintain the same tear length in combination with constant winding. It takes a little practice, but the results are definitely worth it.
