DECOY T-4 Tuning Tube is a heat shrink tube that, when applied to the shank of a jig head or hook, acts as a bait keeper for securing soft baits. When heated, it reduces its diameter by approximately 50%, tightly gripping the wire and creating an anchor point that reliably prevents the bait from slipping while fishing. The material adapts to various wire diameters, from fine hooks for light spinning to heavy-duty models designed for saltwater fishing. The tube also finds use in jigging, where it serves for protecting the knot on assist hooks. When shrinking, it is recommended to hold the hook with pliers and avoid prolonged exposure to a direct flame to prevent melting the material.
