The DECOY L-8 Cup-Rig is a silicone cup designed to be rigged immediately in front of a soft plastic lure. This small accessory is threaded directly onto the hook eye or in front of a jig head, where it creates strong water resistance and sound vibrations during the retrieve. This gives the lure an erratic action accompanied by significant water displacement, helping to trigger strikes even from wary predators. The material used is highly elastic, holds firmly on the rig, and does not chemically react with soft plastics, so there is no risk of it melting your soft baits.
In practice, this component can be applied across a wide range of lure fishing techniques. It can be combined with classic offset hooks, placed in front of a bullet weight on a Texas Rig, or used on a weightless no-sinker setup. Rigging the DECOY L-8 accessory in front of a floating soft lure is particularly effective, giving the setup the characteristics of a surface popper for topwater fishing.
