DECOY DS‑13 Switch Head

DECOY DS-13 Switch Head is a jointed football-style weight designed for building a versatile rig with your own hook. The construction is based on a rotating delta head with a sliding locking pin, which can be quickly removed, flipped, and repositioned to instantly change the behavior of the entire setup. In one position, it functions as a more penetrating, snag-resistant mode for retrieving over cover; in the opposite orientation, it works as a more stable “support” mode that reduces forward movement and keeps the lure longer in the strike zone. With a simple head rotation, you can switch between two distinct characteristics without changing the lure or the entire rig.

The hard lead alloy provides excellent bottom feedback, allowing you to accurately read structure – rock, gravel, and hard edges. The Gun Black finish remains subtle and does not disrupt the lure’s silhouette. The standard weights are suitable for technical spinning for perch and zander in typical conditions, while the heavier DS-13H Switch Head Heavy (18–36 g) expands its use into deeper water, stronger current, or thicker vegetation where greater stability and retrieve control are required. The DS-13 is a well-thought-out solution for situations where adapting rig behavior to specific bottom structure is essential.
