DECOY DJ-77 Short Pike

DECOY DJ-77 Short Pike is a very short assist hook, designed primarily as a rear hook for jigs and lures where a treble hook would be too prone to snagging. It solves a common problem: without a rear hook, fish are often poorly hooked, but using a treble leads to unnecessary lure losses. The short length allows the hook to be positioned exactly where it is needed, without negatively affecting the lure’s ability to pass through structure.

Like the Twin Pike DJ-88 model, it is equipped with the Pike AS-03 hook, known for its fast hook-up rate and excellent fish-holding power. The free-swinging eye gives the hook more mobility than fixed assist hooks, further reducing the risk of fish coming unpinned. DJ-77 is ideal for light jigging and shore jigging, for use on both the rear and front of a jig, and it also works extremely well when fishing from harbor walls or as an addition to surface and subsurface lures such as pencil baits.
