DECOY Area Hook Type III #12

DECOY Area Hook Type III (AH-3) is a barbless single hook developed for micro hardbaits in trout area waters. The construction with a vertical eye (in-line) ensures proper mounting on hardbaits and stable hook point orientation during the retrieve. The wide gape design allows reliable hooksets even on short, cautious strikes typical of trout, when the fish only holds or lightly taps the lure.

The special Magic Barbless design improves hook penetration while reducing the risk of losing fish during the fight, despite being barbless. Compared to treble hooks, it reduces snagging risk, allowing more precise presentations around obstacles and more active lure control. The matte black finish minimizes glare and increases stealth in clear water. The AH-3 is a technically balanced choice for modern trout area fishing on private waters as well as for small hardbaits in flowing rivers. Made in Japan.
