Bladed, Wire & Rubber Jigs
Bladed, Wire & Rubber Jigs are modern and highly effective baits designed for active predator searching in shallow water as well as mid-depths. They combine a jig head with vibration-producing elements such as a metal blade, rotating blades, or a pulsating silicone skirt. Thanks to this, they generate a strong yet still readable signal that predators can easily detect even in murky water or during periods of low fish activity.
The main advantage of vibrating jig lures is their instant action on start-up and their ability to maintain a stable retrieve even when contacting vegetation, rocks, or structure. They work effectively with steady retrieves, slow rolling, and changes in speed, where the combination of vibration, water displacement, and skirt or blade movement often triggers strikes from otherwise passive fish. They are ideal for systematically covering shallow flats, edges, weed beds, and complex bottoms—anywhere you need to locate fish quickly and provoke a reaction.
Basic types of Bladed, Wire & Rubber Jigs
- Chatterbaits (Bladed jigs) – jigs with a vibrating blade in front of the hook that produce strong vibrations and start working immediately; ideal for actively searching fish in vegetation and open water.
- Spinnerbaits (Wire baits) – wire-arm jig lures with rotating blades that create strong flashes and water pressure; excellent in murky water, vegetation, and around cover.
- Skirted jigs (Rubber jigs) – jig heads with a silicone skirt and no blades, designed for precise and controlled presentations along the bottom, in structure, and in vegetation.
