Hearty Rise Valley Hunter Spin 2.17 m 3.5 ‑ 14 g

I personally own a Hearty Rise Valley Hunter VHS-712ML in 217 cm length with a weight of 112 g and a casting weight of 3.5 - 14 g. This rod blew me away the first time I picked it up, it's very light and I paused on the blank construction - that the bottom part is shorter and the top part is longer. At that moment I thought - I must have this one ...
I didn't think about anything at all at that moment and I didn't choose wrong, on the contrary... By making the lower part shorter and the upper part longer, after the first experience I found that it is very responsive and one can enjoy every shot and catching a fish.
The Valley Hunter proved itself to me both on still and flowing waters and even from the boat. For me this rod is versatile for catching all predatory fish such as bass, pike, pikeperch, asp, catfish, fathead minnow, parma and last but not least black bass. It is suitable for fishing with jig heads, chub, dropshot and wobbler fishing, especially on DUO Speahead Ryuki up to size 60S.
I have therefore used this rod in Hungary for pike, as well as in my home country on various waters and I can say for myself that I have had some nice pike, perch, zander, asp and fathead minnows. And it was always a pleasure to work with this rod. Valley Hunter rods are underweight. There is no problem casting 20 - 22 grams with this model of Valley Hunter, which is a very familiar thing with all Hearty Rise rods.

The Valley Hunter is a very popular new rod for 2018. It is distinguished from other rods by one key feature - it does not have symmetrical parts - the upper part is significantly longer than the lower part. In the case of the VHS-712ML model, the upper part is 130 cm long and the lower part is 87 cm long. This makes the rod very sensitive, but at the same time it has an extra strong backbone. The weight of 3.5 - 14 g is quite underestimated, the rod can handle 20 g without a problem. It is perfectly suited for fishing with jig heads, but also with smaller wobblers. And it was exactly for wobblers that I used it on a week-long trip to Sweden. Most of the time I was using twitch wobblers DUO Spearhead Ryuki 60S with a weight of 6.5g, the perfect lure for this rod. Thanks to the strong backbone, no fish was a problem - a 90 cm pike and a new personal best of a 66 cm brook trout - in a very strong current. :) When I wanted to catch smaller fish, I changed the wobbler for a 1.5g minnow. In the deeper parts of the river or on lakes I used KEITECH rubber lures with heads up to 15g. The rod was perfect for everything, so I didn't have to use any other rod all week.
